Kunstplaats Vonk engages “guests”, national and international curators, who form interesting matches with the artists as discussion partners.
The conversations take place in the studio of the Vonk artist and take an individual course for everyone. The aim is to take the artistic discourse, the ability to reflect and interpret one’s own work a clear step further and to strengthen the artists’ competence around this. In addition to reflection, information sharing and networking, the conversations revolve around the artist’s work and the development of the artist’s practice. Beyond this, the artist builds a large network that extends across borders.
The “guests” included: Frank-Thorsten Moll (IKOB), Bert Verlinden (The White House Galery), Stef Van Bellingen (Warp), Eva Wittocx (Museum M), Nadja Vilenne (gallerist), Koen Leemans (CC Mechelen, de Garage), Caroline Dumalin (Wiels, AAIR), Hicham Khalidi (J.van Eyck Academy), Nav Haq (Muhka), Alicja Melzacka (freelance) and many others.
